What is the difference between ISDN and IP?
Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN), is a type of phone line employed for high bandwidth use. Your local phone company will bill a per minute service charge for ISDN. IP is a standard internet line with average bandwidth and usually no per minute service charge. If you have a good connection, this line can be used for video conferencing.
Can I connect with video units in Asia?
Yes, providing there is a dial into IP, or dial up ISDN number of the Eagle bridge.
Does Eagle peer with other video conference service providers?
Yes, we believe in partnerships to enhance the quality and service to all end users.
Can I connect to the video conference units of other business associates?
Yes, you can connect up to 4 end points simultaneously.
Can I connect to non IP based units?
Yes, you can connect to ISDN/H.320 units.
How can I connect with ISDN (H.320) users?
When you become a customer with our gatekeeper, our auto transcoding gateway will allow IP and ISDN to communicate with each other.
Why do I need an expensive unit, can I use a PC cam?
Video conference units range in price from $3000 to $40,000 for plasma screens. PC Cam units can not go beyond 128Kb and will not provide the quality needed for a business video conference.
